Just a week after announcing a streamlined look for its mobile apps that include a simpler Play button, Spotify has revealed another UI update for its apps.
Starting today, Spotify is rolling out a refreshed home screen for its mobile and tablet apps. It's meant to help you more quickly get back into your favorite audio content, whether that's the latest episode of a podcast you listen to every morning, your gym playlist, or a new album that you've been enjoying lately.
You'll see six of these favorites living at the top of your Spotify home screen, and they'll change throughout the day. Spotify will also greet you with a "Good morning," "Good afternoon", or "Good evening" as the time of day changes.
Below your six favorites, you'll see your top podcasts, "Made for you" playlists, new recommendations based on your listening habits, and more.
Spotify has shown recommended playlists, albums, and podcasts on its home screen before, but this refreshed home screen packs more audio content into the top of the display. This gives you more options all within easy reach.
