Oppo today introduced a pair of new smartphones with high-end specs to rival other recent Android flagships.
The Oppo Find X2 (below) and Find X2 Pro (above) have large screens, lots of RAM, and other features that you'd expect from a high-end Android phone in 2020. Both phones feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, and 3168x1440 resolution. The slim bezels of both screens give the Find X2 phones a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1%.
Inside, both phones have an octa-core Snapdragon 865 processor that enables 5G support. There's 12GB of RAM packed into both Find X2 phones, too, and the Pro version gets 512GB of storage while the non-Pro model comes with 256GB.
The main area where these two phones differ are their camera systems. The Find X2 Pro is equipped with a 48MP main camera that includes a Sony IMX689 sensor, 1/1.4" sensor size and f/1.7 aperture. There's a 48MP ultra wide angle camera on the Pro as well that has a Sony IMX586 sensor with 1/2" sensor size, f/2.2 aperture, and 120-degree field of view. Rounding out the Pro's triple camera array is a 13MP telephoto camera with up to 10X hybrid zoom.
The non-Pro Find X2 has a triple rear camera setup of its own, but the sensors are a bit different. The 48MP main cam uses a Sony IMX586 sensor with 1/2" sensor size and f/1.7 aperture while the ultra wide camera is a 12MP snapper with a Sony IMX708 sensor, 1/2.4" sensor size, f/2.2 aperture, and 120-degree field of view. The 13MP telephoto camera offers up to 5x hybrid zoom.
Both the Find X2 Pro and Find X2 have a 32MP selfie camera that lives in a hole-punch in the upper left of their display.
There are two other differences between these two Find X2 models that you should know about. The Pro model has a slightly bigger battery — 4260mAh versus 4200mAh — but both phones support SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge fast charging up to 65W, and the Pro model also comes in an eye-catching orange vegan leather version.
Oppo has preloaded both phones with Android 10 running below its custom ColorOS 7.1 user interface.
The Oppo Find X2 Pro and Find X2 will launch in early May with pricing for the Pro set at €1199 EUR ($1,357 USD) while the regular Find X2 will cost €999 EUR ($1,130 USD).
