Google Translate adds new languages for the first time in four years

It's been four years since Google Translate added support for more languages, but that drought is ending today.

Google Translate has added five new languages: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. In total, these languages are spoken by more than 75 million people around the world.

Google says that Translate offers both text translation and website translation for each of the new languages. Plus, Translate supports virtual keyboard input for Kinyarwanda, Tatar and Uyghur.

With the addition of these new languages, Google Translate now offers 108 languages in all.
