HMD Global looks to have a new Nokia phone in the works, and it's got a pretty interesting codename.
Newly leaked photos show a Nokia device that's codenamed "Captain America". That's according to Evan Blass, who suggests that the phone could launch as the Nokia 5.2.
Typically when we hear about phone codenames, they're things like "Sailfish" or "Bloom". The name Captain America is a bit different, but it's likely that the name comes form the round rear camera setup on the device, which resembles Captain America's shield.
That rear camera setup appears to have four sensors surrounding a flash, all of which lives inside a circular camera housing. Below that camera bump is a fingerprint sensor.
The front of the phone shows a waterdrop notch with a single selfie camera and a Nokia-branded chin.
Specs for this Nokia Captain America are light, but Blass does say it'll have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. It's also expected that the phone will cost $180 when it launches on March 4th.
With that date just one month away, it shouldn't be long before HMD Global officially introduces this new Nokia phone. Perhaps an MWC reveal at the end of the month is in the cards?
