Yesterday we got our first look at the Huawei P40 thanks to a leaked image, and now it's the Huawei P40 Pro's turn.
Some high-quality images of the Huawei P40 Pro have leaked out, showing the device in white and black color options. The images shared by Evan Blass depict the P40 Pro with five rear cameras that live inside a large, rectangular camera bump.
Past rumors have suggested that that quad camera array will include a 64MP main sensor and a 12MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. A 20MP ultra wide angle camera is also rumored to be included as well as a macro lens and a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor to help gather depth information.
Around on the front of the Huawei P40 Pro is a pill-shaped hole-punch with dual selfie cameras. Rumors say that that display could measure in at around 6.5 inches and could be curved on all four sides. Blass also suggests that the body of this P40 Pro could be ceramic.
Finally, there's a USB-C port, speaker grille, and SIM tray on the bottom of this P40 Pro and nothing on the top. That means that, just like last year's P30 Pro, there won't be a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Camera performance has long been a focus of Huawei flagships, and it looks like that'll be the case again with the P40 Pro. There's a total of seven cameras on the device, giving you several options so that you've got the right camera for any given job.
We'll have to wait for Huawei to actually launch the P40 Pro before we know how well those cameras perform, but the good news is that we may not have to wait long. Both the P30 and P30 Pro were announced in late March last year, so we may be just a couple months away from the P40 and P40 Pro's official reveal.
