New month, new Android security updates for Google Pixel phones.
Google today posted the factory images and OTA images for the Pixel 4 and 4 XL, Pixel 3 and 3 XL, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, and Pixel 2 and 2 XL. These updates should begin rolling out over the air today, too, though it might take a few days before your update actually appears on your phone.
The 2020-01-01 security update level includes fixes for vulnerabilities related to the framework, media framework, and system. Meanwhile, the 2020-01-05 security patch level adds fixes for vulnerabilities related to kernel components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed source components.
