Google has released a few different messaging apps over the years, and today it's rolling out another way to message your friends and family.
Google Photos is adding messaging. The feature is meant to make it easier for you to share single photos and videos with your loved ones, giving you a private and ongoing conversation to do so. You can like photos in the chat and easily save them to your gallery.
This new feature will be gradually rolling out over the next week.
You've always been able to share single photos and videos from Google Photos, but previously you had to create an album for that single image and then share a link. This new messaging feature is meant to make it easier to share and view images inside Google Photos, and for that it seems like a big improvement over the previous sharing method.
