One month after a rumor suggested that a Galaxy S10 Lite is in the works, that model has been confirmed by the FCC.
An FCC listing for a Samsung device with the model number SM-G770F has been discovered. Not only does that model number line up with the rumored Galaxy S10 Lite model number that we heard about last month, but the FCC's entry includes a few screenshots from the SM-G770F's settings, and one of thems show the About Phone screen that says "Galaxy S10 Lite".
Also confirmed by the FCC's listing is that the Galaxy S10 Lite will include Bluetooth 5.0 support, ANT+, NFC, and support for LTE bands 2/4/5/12/13/17/26/41/66.
According to a report from SamMobile, the Galaxy S10 Lite's specs will also include a 4500mAh battery, Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage, with a microSD slot available if you need more storage. It's rumored that this S10 Lite will also pack a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen, a 32MP selfie camera, and a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide cam, and 5MP depth camera. Android 10 is said to be included as well.
Typically when we get a "Lite" version of a flagship phone, it's got lower-end specs to make it more affordable. We don't yet know how much this Galaxy S10 Lite will cost, but its rumored spec list is pretty impressive, especially for a "Lite" phone. There's no word yet on when the S10 Lite might launch, but it's been suggested that it may not arrive until after the Galaxy S11 because Samsung typically launches new flagship phones preloaded with the latest version of Android first. So while the S10 Lite has now passed through the FCC, it may still be a few months before we get one in our hands.
