Now that the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro are on store shelves and in users' hands, lots of folks are wondering what OnePlus might do for its next round of flagships. A new leak claims to have some answers.
New drawings have leaked that claim to show the design of the OnePlus 8 Pro. TrueTech says that they received the drawings from an "anonymous OnePlus official". One of the major changes with this new design is a hole-punch in the upper-left corner, which suggests that OnePlus will ditch the pop-up camera found on the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro.
The drawings show single and dual-hole-punch cameras, so it's unclear which style OnePlus might ultimately decide on. However, a OnePlus 8 Pro leak from last month suggested that the company could use just a single front-facing camera.
We can also see slim bezels all around the display of the OnePlus 8 Pro and an elongated earpiece above it. On the left of the phone is a volume rocker and on the right is OnePlus' popular alert slider and a power button.
Around back we can see three cameras that are stacked vertically. Below them is a dual LED flash, and to the left is a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor that would help the OnePlus 8 Pro gather depth information.
Overall, this OnePlus 8 Pro design doesn't deviate much from the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro, but that's not necessarily a bad thing since those are good-looking phones. One big change is the move from a pop-up camera to a hole-punch, which could frustrate some folks who like the clean, full-screen design of the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro. The change to a hole-punch does eliminate a moving part that could eventually fail, so that's one positive about the swap.
