There's been lots of big news in the streaming video market lately, including the launches of Disney+ and Apple TV+ and the news that PlayStation Vue is shutting down. Today that streak of continues with news about Hulu + Live TV.
Hulu has announced that the price of Hulu + Live TV is going up. Beginning December 18th, the price will increase to $54.99 per month, up $10 from the current price of $44.99.
Existing Hulu + Live TV subscribers will see this price increase in their billing cycle after December 18th.
As for why Hulu is hiking the price of its live TV service, the company says that this new price "better reflects the substantial value of Hulu + Live TV and allows us to continue offering all of the popular live news, sports and entertainment programming included in the plan."
A price increase is never exciting news, but the one bit of good news here is that Hulu has warned us of the Hulu + Live TV price hike a full month in advance. That means that if you're currently subscribed to Hulu + Live TV, you've got some time to decide what you're going to do before the increase actually goes into effect.
