OxygenOS 10.0.5 is now rolling out for the OnePlus 7T.
The update to OxygenOS 10.0.5 brings with it a fix for the double-tap gesture for screen activation on the OnePlus 7T as well as improved system stability and some other unspecified bug fixes. OnePlus has included the October 2019 Android security patches in this update as well.
As with all OxygenOS updates, this bump to 10.0.5 is rolling out incrementally. That means that only a small number of users will see it at first, but a broader rollout will begin in a few days once OnePlus has confirmed that everything is working as it should.
This may look like a smaller update, but it's got some notable improvements. The double-tap gesture is a quick and easy way to wake up your OnePlus 7T screen, and it could be frustrating if that stopped working as expected. There are updated security patches in there, too, which are always good to have because they help to keep your phone and your data safe.
