Lots of folks rely on Google Photos to manage their images and videos and to relive their memories. Today Google is adding new features to help you experience the memories stored inside Google Photos.
First up, a new feature called Memories will begin appearing at the top of your Google Photos gallery today. Google is using machine learning to curate photos from years past and to pick out the best photos that have good quality and smiling subjects. You have the option of hiding certain people or time periods from Memories or disabling the feature entirely.
Also rolling out today is the ability to order 4x6 photo prints directly from Google Photos and pick them up same day at CVS Pharmacy or Walmart. This feature will be available at more than 11,000 stores with print centers across the U.S.
If you'd prefer something a bit bigger, Google Photos will also let you order canvas prints that'll be delivered straight to your home. Prints come in three sizes — 8x8, 12x14, and 16x20 — and start at $19.99.
Finally, Google Photos will make it easier to share photos with loved ones. In the coming months, you'll be able to share images directly with friends and family within the Google Photos app, and there will be an ongoing conversation so you can easily see all the photos that you've shared back and forth.
