Google Duo is making it easier to conduct video calls at night.
Google announced today that Duo is getting a low light mode. When enabled, the video call will adjust so that the people in the frame are more visible. You'll be able to toggle low light mode with a button while your video call is ongoing.
Low light mode is rolling out to Google Duo on Android and iOS this week.
Sometimes when you get a video call, you may be in a room with less-than-optimal lighting. Rather than make the person calling you wait while you move around and try to find a place with better lighting, you can now use the low light mode in Google Duo, letting you get on with your conversation.
