Disney+ is sure to attract a lot of interest from consumers when it launches in November because of its aggressively priced bundle, its included content, and the fact that it's a Disney product. Now we know which devices you'll be able to stream Disney+ content on at launch.
Disney+ will be available on Android devices as well as the iPhone and iPad. If you'd like to watch on your TV, you'll be able to stream using Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Roku streaming devices, and Roku TV. The Verge notes that You'll be able to watch Disney+ on your desktop web browsers, too.
Many of those platforms will let you sign up for Disney+ directly on the device, including on Apple's products.
One big name that's missing from the list of compatible devices is Amazon. The Fire TV Stick offers consumers a cheap way to add some streaming smarts to their television and Fire tablets are popular as affordable options, too. It's kind of strange to see Amazon absent from the list of devices that'll support Disney+ at launch, but we are still a few months away from Disney+ actually going live, so it's possible that Amazon and Disney.
Disney also confirmed today that when it launches in the U.S. on November 12 for $6.99 per month, it'll launch in Canada and Netherlands on the same day for $8.99CAD per month ($89.99 per year) and €6.99 per month (€69.99 per year), respectively. Disney+ will arrive in Australia and New Zealand on November 19 for $8.99AUD per month ($89.99 per year) and $9.99NZD per month ($99.99 per year), respectively.
