Turns out that the camera performance on the Galaxy Note 10+ isn't the only feature of the new phone that beats out all other handsets on the market.
DisplayMate has given the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ its Highest A+ Rating as well as a Best Smartphone Display Award. The Note 10+ broke several of DisplayMate's records during the group's testing, including a record Very High Absolute Color Accuracy of 0.4 JNCD as well as a Very High Image Contrast Accuracy and Intensity Scale Accuracy, both of which DisplayMate said are "visually indistinguishable from perfect."
The Note 10+ also set a record for High Brightness Mode, which is up to 25 percent brighter (1,308 nits) than the Galaxy Note 9 in high ambient light.
"The Galaxy Note 10+ is the most innovative and high performance Smartphone Display that we have ever Lab tested," DisplayMate said of the new Samsung flagship. "The level of Display Performance and Excellence has been increasing each year, and the Galaxy Note 10+ has again Raised the Bar significantly higher."
The report also says that the Note 10+'s screen tied for the lowest screen reflectance that DisplayMate has ever seen at 4.3 percent and also has the smallest Brightness Variation with Viewing Angle of 24 percent at 30 degrees.
The Galaxy Note 10+ has a 6.8-inch 3040x1440 Dynamic AMOLED screen. The display on the Note 10+ was already notable for its Infinity-O hole-punch and the fact that it's the largest screen on a Galaxy Note phone to date, and now it's got DisplayMate's Best Smartphone Display Award, too. Samsung has won awards from DisplayMate for the screens on previous Galaxy flagships, so it's not a huge surprise to see the Note 10 win an award, but it's still great news for anyone who has already pre-ordered a Note 10 or is thinking about picking one up.
