One of the things that everyone loves to do with a new Android release is see the Easter egg that Google has included. Android 5.0 Lollipop had a Flappy Bird-style game and Android 9.0 Pie has a stylized "P" logo. Now we're getting a first look at the Android Q Easter egg.

Reddit users discovered a new Easter egg in the Android Q Beta 6 release (via Android Police). Found by holding down on the Android version in the Settings app, the Easter egg shows a page that says "Android 10". You can then move around the logo and numbers, and you can even rearrange the "10" to form the "Q" logo that Google has used with Android Q.

Tapping the screen several times will present you with a Picross-style nonogram puzzle. Solving the puzzle will show you an Android system icon, like the volume icon.

Interestingly, this Easter egg was discovered on an Essential Phone running Android Q Beta 6, but Google Pixel users running that beta are still on the Android Pie Easter egg.

This Easter egg doesn't really have an effect on Android Q or its performance, but it's a fun little thing that Google has made for Android users who know to look for it. It's possible that Google could be making another Easter egg for the final Android Q release, so we'll have to try this again when Google launches Android Q in the third quarter. For now, if you've got an Essential Phone on Android Q Beta 6, give this Easter egg a try.
