A few months after Alcatel and Verizon teamed up to release their first phone together, the two companies are back with another new handset.

The Alcatel Go Flip V is a new flip phone with 4G LTE connectivity. It supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE), HD Voice, and Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) to help ensure your calls sound good, and it's even got mobile hotspot support for up to 10 devices if you need to get a laptop or tablet online.

Inside the Alcatel Go Flip V is a 2.8-inch display and keypad, and outside is a 1.44-inch display to let you see incoming calls and messages. Above that screen is a 2MP camera.

Alcatel has equipped the Go Flip V with a 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage that you can supplement with a microSD card. There's 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 support, too, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and 1350mAh battery.

On the software side, the Alcatel Go Flip V runs an AOSP-based OS and includes apps like Email, Calendar, and File Manager.

While many people carry smartphones, there are some who prefer simpler feature phone devices. That's the market Alcatel and Verizon are targeting with the Go Flip V, while also giving them a device with smartphone-like features including VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, email, and mobile hotspot support.

The Alcatel Go Flip V is available from Verizon starting today for 24 monthly payments of $4.16 each or $99.99 full retail.
