Now that both the Moto G series and Moto Z series have both gotten updates in 2019, it's time for the Moto E series to get a new model. And thanks to a leak, we're getting an early look at that device.
The Moto E6 has been shown off in high-quality leaked images. The device has a Motorola-branded chin and a forehead with earpiece and front-facing camera, show the images shared by Evan Blass, and there's a textured backside with a single rear camera and another Moto logo.
There are volume and power buttons on the right side of the Moto E6, and a 3.5mm headphone jack lives at the top of the device. We can't see the bottom of the Moto E6 in these images, so it's not clear if the phone will use microUSB like the Moto E5 or if it'll move to USB-C for charging.
Past rumors have claimed that the Moto E6 will feature a 5.45-inch 1440x720 screen, down from the 5.7-inch display found on the Moto E5. The Moto E6 is also rumored to have a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, and 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. Finally, it's expected that the Moto E6 will come equipped with Android 9.0 Pie.
The Moto E phones are all about their budget pricing, and the Moto E6 is likely to continue that trend. It's not going to win any design awards, but it could be an option for folks who just want an entry-level smartphone and don't want to pay a ton for it. There's no word on when the Moto E6 could be announced, but now that high-quality images are getting out, an official reveal could be getting close.
