A new leak shows a potential partnership between Mobvoi and a major carrier. After its successful launch of the TicWatch brand in the United States, it looks like it attracted the attention of Verizon for an exclusive product.
Digital Trends first noticed the possible product in a leaked page on the website. The image shows a photo of the new TicWatch Pro with the words “Powered by Verizon” underneath it. Since the collaboration hasn’t been officially announced yet, the page has been removed. The only thing we have left right now is a screenshot.
If it holds true, the new TicWatch Pro could likely be an upgrade of the regular model. This means that it will include LTE support, which explains the reason why it has partnered with Verizon for this upgrade. The other features of the watch are expected to stay the same: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and up to 30 days of battery life with a black-and-white LCD screen. If the color AMOLED display is used, the battery only lasts up to 4 days.
In addition to LTE support, the TicWatch Pro is expected to include a heart rate monitor, NFC, and runs Google’s Wear OS. As of this writing, there is no official word on the TicWatch Pro. We’ll have to wait for either company to officially make the announcement, along with its pricing and release date information.
