When the OnePlus 7 Pro was announced, OnePlus spent a lot of time talking up the device's display, which is a large, high-res AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, some OnePlus 7 Pro owners are having an issue with that display.
Many OnePlus 7 Pro owners say that their screen is exhibiting ghost touch issues. When inside of an app or typing on the keyboard, the display will sometimes tap something near the top of the screen. Not everyone is suffering from the problem, and of those that are, some folks are experiencing ghost touches more frequently than others.
Several users on the OnePlus forums are complaining of the problem, as are some folks on Reddit and at least one OP7 Pro owner at Android Central. Many people having ghost touch issues say that the app CPU-Z is a good way to test your phone to see if it has ghost touch problems, because for some reason that app appears to trigger the problem more frequently.
Right now it's unclear if this is a hardware or software problem, and OnePlus hasn't officially commented on the complaints of OnePlus 7 Pro ghost touches, so there's no word yet on any kind of fix for those affected.
Ghost touches can be super annoying, causing your screen to do weird things and possibly kick you out of a task when you're in the middle of something. Here's to hoping that OnePlus can get to the bottom of whatever is causing these ghost touches on some OnePlus 7 Pro units and get a solution figured out soon.
OnePlus 7 Pro owners, are you having any ghost touch issues?
