The OnePlus 7 Pro was the major focus of OnePlus's event today, but it wasn't the only smartphone that the company announced.
There's also a standard OnePlus 7 model that's coming to market. Its design looks similar to the last year's OnePlus 6T, but there are some internal upgrades to be aware of. The OnePlus 7 Pro features a Snapdragon 855 processor and speedy UFS 3.0 storage, just like the OnePlus 7 Pro. The regular OnePlus 7 also boasts dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and an improved in-display fingerprint sensor.
Other upgrades packed into the OnePlus 7 include a 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and a secondary 5MP snapper and an upgraded 16MP front camera with Sony IMX471 sensor.
The rest of the OnePlus 7's spec list is similar to the OnePlus 6T that launched late last year. There's the same 6.41-inch AMOLED screen, the same 3700mAh battery, the same 6/8GB RAM options, and the same 128/256GB storage options.
The OnePlus 7 won't be coming to the U.S., as it's not appearing anywhere on OnePlus's U.S. website. It will be available in countries like the U.K., China, and India, though, with pricing set at £499 for the 6GB/128GB version and £549 for the 8GB/256GB model. Expect the OnePlus 7 to launch in June.
Also announced today is another OnePlus phone that won't be coming to the U.S., at least not right away: the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. As its name implies, this device is based on the OnePlus 7 Pro, but adds support for 5G networking. It'll be available exclusively through EE in the U.K. and Elisa in Finland, and OnePlus says it'll share more pricing and launch info soon.
