HTC isn't releasing many new smartphones lately, but the company has confirmed that it's got another blockchain phone in the works.
A follow-up to the HTC Exodus 1 blockchain phone is coming. HTC's Phil Chen confirmed the news in a speech at an investment trend forum in Taiwan, as spotted by XDA-Developers and reported by Taiwan News. The new phone is expected to launch in the second half of 2019.
Details on HTC's new blockchain phone are mostly unknown, but if it's anything like the original model, it should be well-specced. The HTC Exodus 1 features a 6-inch Quad HD+ screen, four cameras — two on the front and two on the back — and 128GB of built-in storage. HTC also included a Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB of RAM in its original blockchain phone, and a private Zion vault to help you manage your cryptocurrency.
You can still buy the HTC Exodus 1 now if a blockchain phone piques your interest. It's available for $699/€749, or you can buy it using cryptocurrency.
