More interested in Beats' new Powerbeats Pro truly wireless earphones that Apple's AirPods 2? If so, you'll be able to order your pair soon.
The Powerbeats Pro will be available for pre-order on Friday, May 3rd at 7:00 am PT/10:00 am ET, reports 9to5Mac. They'll launch in stores one week later on May 10th. Pricing will be set at $249.95.
Apple will sell the Powerbeats Pro in black at launch. They'll also be available in ivory, navy, and moss colors, but those are slated to arrive later this summer.
Compared to the AirPods 2, the Powerbeats Pro are a more workout-focused pair of truly wireless earbuds. They've got a sweat and water-resistant design and earhooks to help keep them in place during activity. The earphones also come with four sizes of eartips to help you find a perfect fit and physical volume and and track controls so that it's easier to control your music.
Apple touts that the Powerbeats Pro include an "upgraded linear piston driver that leverages an efficient, pressurized airflow to create a powerful acoustic response in a small package." They've got an enhanced sound quality, too, with lower distortion and greater dynamic range.
Just like AirPods 2, the Powerbeats Pro include Apple's H1 chip and "Hey, Siri" support so that you can summon Apple's digital assistant with just your voice.
Each Powerbeats Pro offers up to nine hours of battery life on a single charge. The case that comes with the earphones can charge them up, and with the Fast Fuel feature, you can get 1.5 hours of playback with five minues of charging and up to 4.5 hours of playback after 15 minutes of charging.
