AT&T taking Galaxy Fold pre-orders, pricing set at $66 per month

If you're an AT&T customer who's interested in being an early foldable phone adopter, you can now plunk down the cash to reserve a Samsung Galaxy Fold.

AT&T is now taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Fold. Pricing is set at $66 per month for 30 months on AT&T Next, or $1,979.99 full retail. AT&T says units will be delivered by April 25th. If you'd prefer a brick and mortar buying experience, AT&T will have the Galaxy Fold in its stores on April 26th.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is one of the first smartphones to launch with a foldable display. It's got a 4.6-inch screen on the outside of its body, but when you open it up, you'll get a larger 7.3-inch display. There's a total of six cameras on the Galaxy Fold, too, along with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and Snapdragon 855 processor. It's powered by a 4380mAh battery.

There's no question that the Galaxy Fold is a pricey device, but it's usually not cheap to be an early adopter. The Galaxy Fold is a pretty interesting device, though, giving you a smaller screen for quick tasks and a much larger screen that you can unfold for reading, gaming, and watching videos. Plus, the Galaxy Fold is a pretty well-specced device, boasting a top-end Snapdragon 855 processor and more RAM than most other smartphones on the market, which could help make its high price a bit easier to swallow.
