Been thinking about giving Visible a try? Today the provider is announcing a new program to tempt you into making the switch.
Visible's new Swap program will let you trade in any Android device that's not compatible with Visible service for a free Visible R2 smartphone. To qualify, you just need to hand in an incompatible Android device and sign up for your first month of service.
Just about any Android phone is compatible with this deal. Visible says it'll take almost any Android phone so long as it turns on, is fully paid off, and is not compatible with Visible service. Android phones that are supported on Visible include the Galaxy S9 and S9+, so there are lots of options for devices that you could turn in to get this deal.
The Visible R2 is a ZTE-made Android 8.1 phone with a 5.45-inch 1440x720 display, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of storage built-in, but you can add a microSD card to gain up to 2TB of additional storage. There's a 3200mAh battery, too, along with a rear fingerprint reader, USB-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Visible offers a $40 per month rate plan that includes unlimited talk, text, and data on Verizon's 4G LTE network. You get data speeds up to 5Mbps, though Visible does note that your speeds could slow if the network gets congested. Video streams at 480p and mobile hotspot is included.
