One week after releasing Android Q Beta 2, Google has a small update for testers.
Google is now rolling out an update for Android Q Beta 2 that includes bug fixes and improvements to performance and stability. The update is particularly focused on improving the performance and stability of apps and permissions. You can find the release notes right here.
While this update should bring improvements to devices running Android Q Beta 2, users should be aware that there may still be "significant behavior changes" that affect apps. This includes Android Q updates around isolated storage that may cause issues with apps that access photos, videos, media, or other files stored on your phone.
If you're running Android Q Beta 2, you should automatically get this update over the air within the next 24 hours. You can also check for it manually by going into Settings > System > Advanced > System updates. System images are available as well if you'd prefer to update that way.
Are you running the Android Q beta on your Pixel phone? If so, what do you think of it so far?
