Looks like the rumors about Google's Call Screen feature coming to non-Pixel phones has come true.
Motorola today confirmed that it's rolling out Call Screen to the Moto G7 and Motorola One family of devices. Since Moto specifically says the "Moto G7 family" is getting Call Screen, presumably devices like the Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play are included in this rollout.
With Call Screen, you can use Google Assistant to answer an incoming call for you. This can help you to avoid talking to scammers and robocalls. When you press the "Screen call" button on an incoming call, the Google Assistant will say "Hi, the person you’re calling is using a screening service from Google, and will get a copy of this conversation. Go ahead and say your name, and why you’re calling," to the person calling you. You can then ask for more info, hang up, or answer the call yourself.
The Moto G7 and Motorola One devices can also use Google's Digital Wellbeing to better understand how they use their smartphone and use features like App Timers and Wind Down to better control their usage.
The rumor mill also said that Nokia phones would be receiving Call Screen, but so far we haven't gotten any official confirmation from Nokia on the matter.
