Looking forward to the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite? The devices just got one step closer to launch.
Several new Google devices have appeared in the FCC, and they're likely the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite. There are FCC listings for Google devices with the model numbers G020B, G020C, G020D, G020F, G020G, and G020H, which are likely different variants of the upcoming phones for use in various parts of the globe.
Unfortunately, there's not a ton of useful information contained within the FCC reports, as Google has requested confidentiality. The listings do say that these are Android 9 smartphones, and we know that they've got features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and LTE.
We've already seen both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite in leaked photos and videos. While the devices look similar to their non-Lite counterparts, they're expected to have some meaningful changes, like Snapdragon 670 processors, 3.5mm headphone jacks, and plastic bodies rather than glass. The good news is that both phones are expected to include the same 12.2MP rear cameras as their non-Lite siblings, meaning they should offer great camera performance.
Rumors have said that the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite could launch at Verizon as soon as this spring. Now that they've pass through the FCC, they're one step closer to release.
