Did the Nubia Red Magic Mars pique your interest when it was announced last month? If so, we've got some good news for you: The gaming phone is now available for purchase.
The Red Magic Mars launched globally today. Pricing starts at $399 / €399 / £359 foir the Essential model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage and goes up to $449 / €449 / £409 for the Superior version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Nubia is also planning a special Conquerer edition with 10GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a limited camo design, and pricing and availability for that model will be announced soon.
Because it's a gaming smartphone, the Red Magic Mars is equipped with several features to help you game on the go. There are two capacitive touch buttons on the sides of the device that can be custom-mapped for use in games, and an "ICE multi-dimensional cooling system" will help keep your phone cool during intense gaming sessions. The Red Magic Game Space mode will minimize background apps to enhance gameplay, too. Nubia has also given the Red Magic Mars an LED strip on the back to make sure everyone knows it's a gaming device.
In terms of specs, the Red Magic Mars boasts a 6-inch 2160x1080 display, Snapdragon 845 processor, 16MP rear camera with AI-powered intelligent scene recognition, and an 8MP front-facing camera. A 3800mAh battery powers the whole package, and you recharge it using USB-C. There's a 3.5mm headphone jack, too, as well as dual SIM slots and a fingerprint reader and Android 9.0 Pie running below a custom Redmagic OS v1.6 user interface.
