The LG V50 ThinQ and LG G8 ThinQ will make their official debut at MWC 2019 later this month, but before they do, LG's got a few mid-range phones to tell us about.
The LG Q60, LG K50, and LG K40 have been announced today. LG says that all three phones "boast premium features, advanced technologies, and stylish design, all without breaking the bank." They each include features like AI Cam, which recognizes the scene that you're pointing your camera at and recommends the best shooting mode; a dedicated Google Assistant button; and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that emulates a 7.1 surround sound system through earphones.
The highest-end model of the trio is the LG Q60. Its spec list includes a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a notch and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a 2.0GHz octa-core processor, and 3GB of RAM. 64GB of storage is included along with a microSD card slot, and a 3500mAh battery is powering the whole package. The triple rear camera setup includes a 16MP snapper with PDAF, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP super wide angle camera, and there's a 13MP selfie cam. Rounding things out is a fingerprint reader and MIL-STD 810G for resistance to altitude, temperature, and more.
Then there's the LG K50, which has its own 6.26-inch HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.0GHz octa-core processor. It's got 3GB of RAM and a microSD slot, too, but comes with 32GB of storage. Also included is a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main camera and 2MP depth sensor, a 13MP front camera, and a 3500mAh battery. Like the LG Q60, the LG K50's got a fingerprint sensor and MIL-STD 810G compliance.
Rounding things out is the LG K40. This model comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ screen, 2.0GHz octa-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. There's 32GB of storage built-in along with a microSD card slot for adding more storage, a 3000mAh battery, and an 8MP front camera with LED flash. Around back is a 16MP camera with PDAF. And like the other two new phones, the LG K40 also comes with a fingerprint reader and MIL-STD 810G compliance.
LG isn't saying when these three phones will launch or how much they'll cost when they do, but we'll update you when we hear more.
