The Huawei Watch GT was announced back in October 2018 as Huawei's newest smartwatch. We haven't heard much about it since then, but that's changing today with news of the device's arrival in the U.S.
The Huawei Watch GT is now available for pre-order in the U.S. You can get the watch with a Graphite Black silicone strap for $199.99 or a Saddle Brown leather/silicone strap for $229.99. Huawei says that the Watch GT will be available from additional retailers in late February.
As a refresher, the spec list for the Huawei Watch GT includes a round 1.39-inch 454x454 AMOLED display, built-in GPS, 5ATM water resistance, and a battery that Huawei says will last for two weeks with typical usage. Using it like a traditional watch and with no exercise tracking, the Huawei Watch GT can last for up to 30 days on a single charge. The case is made of stainless steel.
Another highlight feature of the Huawei Watch GT is its TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring tech. It combines PPG optical, hardware design, and AI algorithms to measure your heart rate in real-time. The Huawei Watch GT can track your sleep, too, including deep sleep, light sleep, REM, awake, and naps using Huawei's TruSleep, which was developed in collaboration with Harvard Medical Schools' CDB Center.
Huawei's Watch GT is compatible and devices running Android 4.4 or later and iOS 9.0 or later. It runs Huawei's custom LiteOS.
