T-Mobile is making moves this week to tempt customers on rival carriers to switch to the magenta side.
T-Mo today announced that it's partnering with National Day Calendar to make February 13 into National Break Up with Your Carrier Day. To celebrate this "holiday", T-Mobile is offering two lines of its T-Mobile Essentials plan plus two smartphones for $100 per month plus taxes and fees.
This deal requires you to switch to T-Mo and get two lines on a T-Mobile Essentials plan as well as enroll in autopay. Also of note is that your free phone requires a device payment plan and that you'll receive 24 monthly bill credits to cover its cost. Your free phone options include the T-Mobile REVVL, the REVVL Plus, the REVVL 2, the LG Aristo, the LG Aristo 2 Plus, the LG K20 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Star, and the Motorola Moto E5 Play.
T-Mobile is also offering two lines of T-Mobile One plus two smartphones for $130 per month. The T-Mobile One plan differs from T-Mobile Essentials in that its taxes and fees are included and that it also includes perks like Netflix On Us.
T-Mobile also says that it's expanding its #GetOutoftheRed offer targeted at Verizon customers. With it, any Verizon subscriber can switch to T-Mobile and get their remaining device payments paid off, up to $650, and keep their phone to use on T-Mo. The #GetOutoftheRed program only works for select phones, though, and that group now includes the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9 and S9+, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, iPhone XS and XS Max, and iPhone XR.
