After releasing its Android Pie update roadmap last month, Samsung has now tweaked its schedule, and thankfully, it's good news.
Samsung now says that the Galaxy Note 9 is slated to begin receiving its Android Pie update in January 2019, up from the February 2019 target we heard before. The Galaxy Note 8's update target has been moved up a month, too, and it's now expected to begin getting Pie in February 2019.
Other devices that've had their Android Pie update timing moved up include the Galaxy A8 Star, Galaxy J4, Galaxy J7 Duo, and Galaxy Tab S3 9.7.
Here's what Samsung's updated Android Pie roadmap looks like:
The Galaxy Note 9 and Note 8 are two of Samsung's recent flagship smartphones, so it's exciting to hear that they'll begin receiving their Android Pie updates earlier than anticipated. Of course, the exact update timing will vary by region, but this updated timing does suggest that Samsung will be finished working on these updates sooner than expected, which could mean earlier rollouts for other regions as well.
