Details of the Samsung Galaxy S10 have been trickling out in recent months, and today more info on the upcoming flagship has been shared by one of the most reliable leakers around.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 will have a "punch hole"-style cutout for its front-facing camera, says Evan Blass. That makes it sound like the Galaxy S10 will have a screen similar to the Infinity-O display that Samsung teased last week, which shows a screen with a cutout in the upper corner of the screen.
Also tipped by Blass to be included in the Galaxy S10 is an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple rear camera setup that includes a standard sensor, a wide angle camera, and a telephoto lens. Finally, it's expected that the S10 will run Android Pie below Samsung's new One UI.
Few preliminary Galaxy S10 details:
- "Punch hole" style selfie cam cutout (sounds like Infinity-O display).
- Ultrasonic, in-display FPS
- Three rear cameras (standard/wide/tele)
- One UI over Android Pie— Evan Blass (@evleaks) November 13, 2018
We've seen several Android device makers embrace the notch lately, including OnePlus, Huawei, and LG, and some thought that Samsung might be one of the only holdouts. Now it sounds like that may not be the case, though it could be argued that the cutout on the Infinity-O display isn't technically a notch. Whichever side you fall it, one thing that we can all agree on is that it'll be interesting to see the Infinity-O display and its cutout in action.
