New week, new iOS and watchOS betas.
Apple today released iOS 12.1 beta 5 and watchOS 5.1 beta 5 to registered developers. If you're a dev, you can download the new iOS 12.1 beta by going into Settings > General > Software Update on your device or by pointing your web browser to Apple's Developer Center. The new watchOS beta can be downloaded by going into the Watch app on your phone and then selecting General > Software update.
The update to iOS 12.1 will bring with it several new features, including support for eSIM, which will enable dual SIM support for the new iPhone models. Also included is real-time Depth Control that lets you adjust the bokeh of Portrait Mode photos before you capture them, Group FaceTime video calling, and more than 70 new emoji.
Meanwhile, watchOS 5.1 includes Group FaceTime support in an audio call format, the aforementioned new emoji, and a new full-screen "Color" watch face for the Apple Watch Series 4. This new watch face will let you choose from many different shades. Owners of older Apple Watch models will get a filled-in circular color option.
Apple hasn't said when they'll release iOS 12.1 or watchOS 5.1 to the public.
