The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to make their official debut next week, but they may not be the only new pieces of hardware that Google will reveal.
New images of what may be the Google Pixel Slate, a Chrome OS tablet, have leaked out. Shared by MySmartPrice, the renders show a tablet device with front and rear-facing cameras and a Google logo on its rear. Also rumored to be included is a power button that could double as a fingerprint reader, a USB-C port, and possibly front-facing speakers.
The Pixel Slate will allegedly have two major accessories. The first is a capacitive stylus, which you can see in the image above. The second is a keyboard accessory that has circular keys and a touchpad. There's also a Google Assistant button between the left Control and Alt keys. This keyboard accessory has a foldable part to prop up the Pixel Slate and let you use it like a laptop.
There's no word yet on the spec details for this new device, nor any indication about how much it might cost. The Pixelbook was priced as a premium product, and this Pixel Slate looks to be a high-end device as well, so don't be surprised if this new device also comes with a premium-tier price tag. The good news is that Google's event is just a few days away, so it won't be long before all of the official details are spilled.
