Motorola's Moto G series of phones have been some of the most popular affordable Android smartphones in recent years, and today we may be getting a look at the next gen model.
New renders have surfaced that claim to show off the Motorola Moto G7. Based on factory CADs and shared by @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, perhaps the most notable aspect of this new Moto G7 is that it adopts a notch like many other recent phones have. The good news for those that aren't fond of the notch is that the Moto G7's is a smaller waterdrop-style notch.
The renders also show that the Moto G7 may have USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack on its bottom. Around back there's a dual rear camera setup and a Motorola logo that looks like it may double as a fingerprint reader.
Meanwhile, a separate report claims that there will be four different versions of the Moto G launched next year. Evan Blass claims that we'll see a standard Moto G model as well as Play, Plus, and Power variants, which would be an increase from the three versions of the Moto G6 we saw earlier this year.
In recent years, new Moto G models have been announced in the first half of the year, with the Moto G6 debuting in April 2018, the Moto G5 in February 2017, and the Moto G4 in May 2016. There's no word yet on when the Moto G7 might be announced, but the timing of previous announcements give us an idea of about when we can expect the G6 next year.
