T-Mobile says 600MHz LTE now available in 1,254 markets

T-Mobile has steadily been growing its 600MHz LTE coverage over the past year, and today the carrier gave us another update on its progress.

T-Mobile's 600MHz (Band 71) LTE is now available in 1,254 cities and towns in 36 states, including Puerto Rico. You can see the full list of 600MHz LTE markets here.

600MHz coverage travels twice as far from the tower and is four times better at penetrating buildings when compared to T-Mobile's mid-band LTE, which means better coverage and capacity for T-Mo customers with 600MHz LTE smartphones. Speaking of smartphones, T-Mobile sells 14 different phones that support its 600MHz LTE coverage. They are:

  • LG Aristo 2 Plus
  • LG G7 ThinQ
  • LG K30
  • LG Q7+
  • LG Stylo 4
  • LG V30
  • Motorola Moto E5 Plus
  • Motorola Moto E5 Play
  • Samsung Galaxy J3 Star
  • Samsung Galaxy J7 Star
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy S9+
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9

T-Mobile's 600MHz LTE coverage is helping to improve T-Mo's 4G LTE network, and it's great to see that T-Mobile has been so aggressively rolling out its coverage over the past year. And with 14 different Android phones available that support 600MHz LTE,  there are lots of different options for folks who want to access that coverage. Now we just have to hope that Apple's upcoming iPhones will support T-Mobile 600MHz LTE, too.
