Nearly one year after the Android One Moto X4 first landed at Project Fi, Google has begun selling a higher-end model of the X4.
Project Fi now sells the Android One Moto X4 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Pricing is set at $299, which is $50 more than the model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The 4GB/64GB model comes in a Sterling Blue color option, while the 3GB/32GB comes in Super Black.
Other than the increased RAM and storage, this "new" Android One Moto X4 is the same as the model that's been available on Project Fi for nearly one year. There's a microSD card slot for adding more storage, a 5.2-inch 1920x1080 display, 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor, and 3000mAh battery. The Moto X4 also has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP Dual Autofocus Pixel sensor and an 8MP wide angle sensor, and there's a fingerprint reader on the front of the device.
The microSD slot on the Android One Moto X4 allows owners to add more storage if they need it, but it's nice to see the 4GB/64GB Moto X4 make its way to Project Fi. In addition to offering more built-in storage, which may negate the need for a microSD card for some folks, the extra gig of RAM is nice to have.
