ZTE is the latest Android device maker to adopt the notch.
ZTE today introduced the Axon 9 Pro, and it features a 6.21-inch AMOLED display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio as well as a notch at the top of the screen and a chin at the bottom. Housed in that notch is a 20MP camera sensor. ZTE's Axon 9 Pro also gets in on the dual rear camera trend, offering 12MP and 20MP rear sensors that are stacked vertically.
The ZTE Axon 9 Pro is a flagship-tier device, boasting a Snapdragon 845 processor that's paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. There's a big 4000mAh battery in there, too, and a USB-C port for recharging that battery as well as a rear fingerprint reader for added security. On the software side, the Axon 9 Pro comes with Android 8.1 Oreo preloaded.
Pricing for the ZTE Axon 9 Pro will be set at €649 ($757 USD) when it launches in Europe in September. Unfortunately for those of us stateside, ZTE has confirmed that the Axon 9 Pro will not be making its way to the U.S. That said, ZTE has had a pretty rough 2018 due to that ban that prevented it from buying U.S. components, so it's good to see the company launching some new hardware.
