We're officially knee-deep in flagship smartphone season, and today BLU announced its newest offering.
The BLU Vivo XI+ (pronounced Eleven Plus) is now official, and you can buy it right now from Amazon. What's more, BLU is discounting the Vivo XI+ at launch while supplies last.
BLU's new Vivo XI+ includes many of the features that you'd expect from an Android flagship in 2018. There's a dual rear camera setup that includes a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 5MP camera so that you can take portrait mode photos with blurry backgrounds. There's 6GB of RAM. And yes, there's a notch at the top of the Vivo XI+'s 6.2-inch 2246x1080 display, which has a 19:9 aspect ratio.
Other features of the BLU Vivo XI+ include a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 128GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot for adding more storage. There's a 3050mAh battery included as well, along with Qi wireless charging support. BLU has added a rear fingerprint reader for added security along with a Real 3D Face ID face unlock feature that includes an IR sensor so that it can work in different conditions, including darkness.
The BLU Vivo XI+ comes preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo, but BLU says that it's working on an update to Android 9 Pie that'll be released by the end of Q1 2019. The phone is sold unlocked and includes support for GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. All of those features are crammed into a body that's machined out of solid aluminum.
BLU is often thought of as a company that churns out a lot of new phones, but it says that it's making a commitment to giving its devices higher levels of support rather than constantly releasing a ton of new products. That's good to hear from the company that you're buying a new smartphone from.
Do the Vivo XI+'s spec list and BLU's commitment to support have you interested in this new Android smartphone?
