The Gmail apps on Android and iOS are gaining a new feature.
Confidential mode is now available on mobile devices. This mode allows you to send emails and attachments and protect the sensitive information inside them from unauthorized access. You can use confidential mode to set an expiration date for a message or revoke access to it at any time. Additionally, anyone who receives a confidential message will be unable to forward, copy, print, or download it.

To enable confidential mode, tap "Compose" to begin your message and then tap the three-dot Menu button in the top right corner of your screen. Select "Confidential mode" to activate the feature and set an expiration date, passcode, and other controls. You can remove access to your confidential message by going into your Sent messages, opening the confidential email, then tapping "Remove access" at the bottom of your screen.
While an email sent with confidential mode isn't totally confidential since your message and attachments can still be screenshotted by anyone, this does add a layer of protection to your sensitive messages, and it's good to see it arriving on mobile devices.
