Sony's Xperia XZ line is the company's new family of flagships, and today we may be getting an early peek at the next XZ device.
Meet the Sony Xperia XZ3. This alleged render of Sony's next major smartphone release was put together by @OnLeaks and CompareRaja, and it's based on factory CAD documents. Perhaps the biggest change here from the Xperia XZ2 is the display, which has rounded corners and a curved edge design.
We can also see a single rear camera with a fingerprint reader below it and what looks to be a USB-C port on the bottom of the phone. There's a set of buttons on one side of the device, likely the volume rocker, power/lock button, and camera shutter button, and a SIM card slot at the top of the device. Unfortunately, it looks like the Xperia XZ3 will skip the 3.5mm headphone jack like the Xperia XZ2 before it.
Rumored specs for the Xperia XZ3 include a 5.7-inch 2160x1080 screen, Snapdragon 845 processor, and a 3240mAh battery. Sony will reportedly cram 6GB of RAM into the XZ3 along with 64GB and 128GB storage options.
Sony hasn't said anything about an Xperia XZ3, but rumors suggest that it could be announced at IFA 2018, which runs from August 31st through September 5th. While the XZ3's alleged spec list does have some features in common with the XZ2 that was announced earlier this year, its upgraded RAM and curved edge screen would make it a nice upgrade.
What do you think of this alleged Xperia XZ3? Would you be interested in it if Sony released?
