Google Photos is gaining a couple of new features this week.
First up, Google says that it's adding a Favorites feature to Google Photos this week. Just tap the star icon to mark a photo as a Favorite, and then you can go to the Albums view and easily see all of your favorite photos in one place.

This Favorites feature is one we've seen on several other photo apps, so it's nice to see it being added to Google Photos, too. Most people take and keep a lot of photos, but that can make it difficult to find your favorite images in a sea of other shots. Now you can easily relive your favorite moments while using Google Photos.
Also coming soon to Google Photos is the ability to heart a photo shared by your friend. This will let your friends know exactly which images of theirs you really love and add a bit more interaction to Google Photos.
