The HTC U12+ is expected to make its official debut in a couple of days, but HTC prematurely revealed it today.
HTC briefly posted the U12+ on a test portion of its website earlier today. The test page was spotted by Roland Quandt and included both images and spec details of the device. The page wasn't up for long before HTC realized the error and pulled it back down.
According to the leaked page, the HTC U12+ will boast a 6-inch 2880x1440 Super LCD 6 screen, and the images confirm that HTC won't be taking part in the notch trend that several other Android manufacturers have jumped on. Also said to be included in the U12+ is a Snapdragon 845 processor, microSD card slot, 3500mAh battery, and Boomsound speakers, all wrapped in a body that's IP68 water and dust resistant.
HTC leaked some pricing info for the U12+, too, listing the flagship at 5,888 yuan ($924 USD) for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
The HTC U12+ looks like a solid follow-up to last year's U11, offering all of the high-end specs that you'd want from a flagship phone in 2018. We'll have to wait until we can get our hands on the U12+ before we can really make any judgments about it, but Android users that aren't feeling the notch trend and want a premium flagship may want to check out the U12+ when it officially arrives.
