The CES 2018 news continues today with a mobile announcement from ASUS.
ASUS is launching the ZenFone Max Plus in North America. The device will arrive in February at a price of $229, which will get you a phone with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Buyers will have two color options to choose from: Azure Silver and Deepsea Black.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus features a 5.65-inch 2160x1080 display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There's a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for all your selfie needs, and around back there's a dual camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel main sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus as well as a secondary 8-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree wide angle lens.
Inside the ZenFone Max Plus's metal chassis is an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor and a 4,130mAh battery. ASUS has also included a rear fingerprint reader with the ZenFone Max Plus as well as a Face Unlock feature to help you unlock your phone when you're unable to use the fingerprint sensor. This is the first ZenFone device with Face Unlock.
ASUS has loaded the ZenFone Max Plus with Android 7.0 running below a custom Zen UI 4.0 user interface.
