After releasing iOS 11.2 this past weekend, Apple today unleashed a new update for watchOS.
watchOS 4.2 is now available. To grab it, launch the Watch app on your iPhone and then go into General > Software Update. You'll need to connect your Apple Watch to power to install the update.
As for what's included in watchOS 4.2, the highlight feature is Apple Pay Cash support. With Apple Pay Cash, you can send and receive money using the Messages app, including the one on the Apple Watch. Apple Pay Cash officially launched to everyone in the U.S. today.
The update to watchOS 4.2 also includes a few other tweaks and new features, like support for HomeKit sprinklers and faucets and a new workout for downhill snow sports on Apple Watch Series 3. It also fixes bugs like one that could cause the Apple Watch to crash when asking Siri about the weather and another that could cause scrolling to be disabled in Heart Rate.
