Last week, it was confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be coming to Sprint and T-Mobile. Sprint didn't have any availability info to share at that time, but today the carrier spilled its beans.
The Galaxy S8 Active will be available from Sprint starting Friday, November 17th. Pricing will be set at $35.42 per month with a Sprint Flex 18-month lease. If you switch to Sprint from another carrier, though, Sprint will cut your monthly payments in half.
Just like the GS8 Active models on AT&T and T-Mobile, the Sprint version features a ruggedized design with a metal frame, bumpers, and textured back. The phone meets MIL-STD-810G standard, meaning that it can withstand extreme temperatures, dust, shock, vibration, low pressure, and high altitude. Water resistance is included, too.
The hardware specs of the Galaxy S8 Active include a 5.8-inch 2960x1440 Suped AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. There's a 12-megapixel rear camera included as well as an 8-megapixel front camera, a rear fingerprint reader, and a 4,000mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat.
