Google is making it easier to start video calls on its Android phones.
Google is now rolling out video calling integration on Pixel, Nexus, and Android One devices. With it, you’ll be able to start a video call from Google’s Phone, Contacts, and Android Messages apps.
If you’re on a carrier that supports ViLTE (Video over LTE, the video version of Voice over LTE), your video call will be routed over your carrier’s ViLTE service. If your carrier doesn’t support ViLTE, your video call will use Google’s Duo service.
Google says that it’s working with its carrier and device partners to bring this video calling integration to more Android devices.
