Just like the rumors said it would, Amazon today introduced a new Fire TV device.
The new Amazon Fire TV is a small square device with an HDMI cable built in. It offers 4K Ultra HD support as well as HDR-10 and Dolby Atmos audio. To utilize all of those features, the Fire TV includes dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
Powering this updated Amazon Fire TV is a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It’s got 8GB of built-in storage, too.
Rounding out the included features of the new Fire TV is an Alexa Voice Remote. You can use it to control your Fire TV as well as issue commands to Alexa, letting you do things like check the weather, control smart home products, stream music, and more, all with your voice.
The new Amazon Fire TV is now available for pre-order for $69.99. It’ll launch on October 25th.
